Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property has launched the official website SAIP.GOV.SA and its accounts on social networking sites @SAIPKSA in the presence of several media and institutional communication officials in the Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the relevant governmental information centers.
This is in line with the authority’s objectives in raising awareness and knowledge about the importance of intellectual property internally and externally, and in line with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. In addition to the continuous seeking to develop performance according to the latest technical developments and emphasizing the strategic direction of the authority towards digital transformation in all services provided.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al Swailem, CEO, said that the new website and accounts of the social networking sites of the Authority are in its initial stage, which will be a reference for the information of all the works carried out by the Authority. Adding that through the launch of the portal it will be followed by the launch of electronic services for all the work of the authority, whether directed to individuals or government and private bodies.
He also said that the kingdom intends, through the authority, to organize, support, sponsor and enforce intellectual property issues in accordance with best international practices, this comes through the registration of intellectual property rights and the provision of all relevant information and making it available to the public, in addition to building an advanced economy based on the use of intellectual property rights.
It is worth mentioning that the website provides a collection of guides and information about intellectual property. It also allows all users to access trademark regulations and copyright protection, as well as the patent system and graphic designs of integrated circuits, plant varieties and industrial designs.
For its part, the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property called for communicate with it through its accounts in social networking sites @SAIPKSA or via e-mail: SAIP@SAIP.GOV.SA to answer all inquiries, questions and activities related to intellectual property.
