The Saudi Vision 2030 has placed intellectual property among its priorities, which included the establishment of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) out of the rational leadership’s interest in the intellectual property sector to continue striving for progress and excellence in this field. The SAIP family, through its website, seeks to provide all services and products of high quality to various male and female innovators in the Kingdom with the aim to achieve customer satisfaction.
In SAIP, We work at an accelerated pace to achieve the goals for which it was founded, to continue to achieve accomplishments through registering and examining applications, conducting intellectual property awareness and enforcement campaigns in various regions of the Kingdom, joining international treaties and local agreements, reinforcing international strategic partnerships that are compatible with its field and supporting its direction and contributing to enabling the generation and exploitation of intellectual property rights through cooperation and support to the parties contributing to the creation and use of intellectual property. Further, the SAIP facilitates the collection of the necessary information and assisting the beneficiaries through clarifying and explaining how to use the information.
The enforcement strategy is based on upgrading the Kingdom’s level regionally and globally in the field of intellectual property rights protection through creating an attractive business environment that enables innovation, knowledge and investment in which stakeholders from the public and private sectors participate to activate and strengthen the enforcement system. The National Intellectual Property Strategy also works to maximize intangible gains and properties related to intellectual property through building and directing the intellectual property system in a manner that realizes its harmonization and integration with the development economic systems.
"Through integrated pathways that include guidance, protection, management, and enforcement, we place the beneficiary at the heart of the system, enabling them to create and innovate with confidence."
